Sadly, the link for the stunning show "Return to the Forbidden Planet" has vanished. This amazing show opened in London's West End on Monday 18th September 1989, and I was there during the preview week! It was immediately apparent that this show would be a great hit and won the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical of 1990, beating 'Miss Saigon', 'Buddy' and 'Aspects of Love'. Productions of the show have been staged in countries as far afield as the USA, Japan, Germany, Berlin, Sweden, Norway, Alaska, Indonesia and Australia. The show may still be on UK tour, last time I caught it there were changes throughout the production, including new songs, new jokes, new special effects and new cast members. As usual these changes have enhanced the show to bring new heights of entertainment! If you are able to find their official web site please let me know. If the show arrives locally that would be a good time to find their web site. Use this e-mail link or the link at the bottom right of the page, many thanks for your help!

A new stage show appeared all too briefly in the West End, "Saucy Jack & the Space Vixens". As with many shows of this style of production, it took a while to 'get into' the swing of the show. However, by the interval the theatre was really rocking. The plot is pretty basic, but the ideas are innovative and the songs are great and addictive. The show left the West End to play in New York for a while. This 'production' then opened as a night club near London Bridge, this closed in 2002. Checkout the web site for the latest newsdetails.

"The New Rocky Horror Show" is now celebrating its 30th anniversary! For all the latest information, tour dates and gossip check out the official website.
